Mystic Fox

Independent game studio

Quiet games with a little magic in them.

We make word and puzzle games for people who want to think, not to be hurried — and we build every one of them so a child can pick up the phone and play without anybody having to check first.

Launching

Zen Unscramble

A word game with no clock unless you want one. Drag the letters into place, learn what the word means, and come back tomorrow for the daily. Nine ways to play, from a slow untimed board to a race against the family on the same Wi-Fi.

  • Zen, Arcade, Daily Challenge, Around the World and more
  • Every word checked by hand for a family audience
  • Plays fully offline — no account needed to start

In the pipeline

What we are building next

We announce a game when it is real, not when it is an idea. These are the ones far enough along to talk about.

Launching

Zen Unscramble

A calm word game with nine ways to play, a daily challenge and a family mode.

In development

1 Line

Trace a whole shape in one unbroken touch. No dots, no guide — you work out where the line has to start.

Early days

PicPuz

A sliding picture puzzle. The old classic, made quiet and made to look like something worth finishing.

How we work

We focus on kid-safe games.

Not as a label added at the end, but as the rule the work is built around — it decides what goes in and, more often, what stays out.

Every word is checked

Our word lists are reviewed by hand rather than taken from a dictionary and shipped. A word that reads innocently and means something else does not make it in.

No strangers, no chat

Multiplayer runs over your own Wi-Fi, with people already in the room. There is no matchmaking with strangers and no free-text chat to moderate.

As little data as possible

Our games work offline and ask for no account to start. What we do collect, and why, is written in plain language in our privacy policy.
